Our third house concert will be held on Sunday, 19 February 2012 at 2.00pm. The previous concert in this series, featuring our Artistic Director, Bernadette Harvey (Piano), Diana Doherty (Oboe), Kirsty Hilton (Violin) and Catherine Hegwill (Cello) sold out immediately and drew comments such as:

" I really want to thank you for such a fantastic concert....The whole programme was so great (especially my favourite Shostakovich) This why I choose to live in Sydney !" Marjorie Hystek.

In line with one of our aims to encourage and support young people in their endeavours, the next House Concert on Sunday, 19th February at 2.oopm will feature a fine young pianist, who is entering the Sydney International Piano Competition this year. It will be a solo recital .

Your attendance will allow him some performance practice prior to his audition. He is eighteen year old Bo An Lu, who is studying Science Law at Sydney University as well as maintaining his music studies at this high level. The program is rich and romantic, presenting works by Chopin, Liszt, and Debussy.

As this is an advanced student recital, proceeds of which will be donated to the Freshwater Festival, the cost will be $20.00 donation, $10.00 for school and music students instead of the usual $30.00.

Seats are available by booking only. The venue is intimate and it is necessary to know numbers intending to come. Only forty people can be accommodated with refreshments provided.
